We reviewed my inventory 3x to make sure it was accurate. I had 2 movers Danny and Joshua arrive on time with such warm, friendly attitudes. I have to say what a fantastic experience this was. They were so professional, polite, friendly and strong 💪!!!!! The funny part...I thought my cats were locked up (which I was suppose to do) however one got out and ran down the hallway ( what a scene) Needless to say my hero Danny made sure we got the cat back in which was not part of his job! This is my first move so I was a nervous wreck but felt so relieved once it was done plus the price was so much cheaper than the other companies and I called at least 8 places and most had mixed to not so good reviews. I selected Otter because of the high ratings, and I am happy to share the outcome so people will feel good using a reputable company. Phase 1 is going from an apartment, then getting furniture disassembled, packaged up, and bins out the door. Now Phase 2 begins, my furniture is now en route heading down to South Carolina to be unloaded, reassembled into my new home. This shall be continued stay tuned 😉 😎 so far so good!! Thanks to Nikola, Danny, and Joshua. I will keep you all posted to the end result.

The day brought some unexpected challenges (weather, traffic, NYC DOT deciding to tar and pave my street), but the ability to easily pivot and adapt made even these hiccups smooth. I dont like moving. Full stop. But I loved moving with Gregory and the Team from Otter.

I'm glad I chose Otter for my specific need, storage for 1-2 weeks to lessen the items for my official move out. Boris and Roberto make a great team! They communicated and coordinated with each other very smoothly. I didn't have a lot of items for storage, but they were fast and efficient, whole pick up and loading lasted within 30 minutes! Highly recommended.

I used otter moving for the first time this month (long-distance move) and they were absolutely tremendous. My only knock against them is that there's not much communication between when you book them and the day before your move, but, once they reach out to confirm the move, they are READY. My move was seamless. The team was professional, caring, efficient, and affordable!

Otter moving is amazing. I did a lot of research and got multiple quotes before booking by with Felix and his team. At first when I saw so many 5 star reviews I was skeptical, even went down a reddit thread which only confirmed that they really deserve all of the stars. I would give more stars if I could. Not only did they offer me a ridiculously affordable price on my move (even after making some adjustments to inventory and planning, I paid several hundred dollars less than 5 other companies quoted me), but the team was so quick and efficient and pleasant to work with day of. They handled everything with great care and communication and I’ve never seen movers work so efficiently before. I did pay the remaining balance (post $50 deposit) the day before which at first made me nervous but they did a fantastic job. Felix made sure all of my calls ahead of time were handled with care and I had everything I needed and the team that moved me from A to B was phenomenal. If you’re reading this review I promise you they are who you want to book with. If you are skeptical like me and thought “this has to be too good to be true” I promise that they’ll treat you the same way they treated me- book with Otter!

Best. Movers. Ever. I’ve used them twice in 5 years. I cannot vaguely explain the relief that accompanies using these lads. I didn’t know that they had scaled to cross country. So many companies were trying to scam me - it was CRAZY. I rang otter hoping they could help. They are the most reliable, economical, showed up on time, no extra charges. Everything went smoothly. The movers were great. Wrapped our furniture so there'd be no damage at all. Very efficient. They got to our upstate home 20 minutes after we did. Placed all the furniture exactly where we asked. I highly recommend Otter Moving.

If anyone wants a referral, lmk! I was honestly really nervous as a first-time mover, but Otter Storage made the whole experience so much smoother than I expected!! The team was super efficient and handled everything with so much care. They were also genuinely kind, patient, and friendly, which made a stressful day feel a lot more manageable. My new place has a very narrow entrance, an awkward staircase and several other obstructive features that gave me anxiety about the move. Shady brokers and dishonest landlords who own actual buildings but will fight you for months for every cent of a $4000 security deposit, lurk behind every corner. It's an unnecessarily stressful, unbelievably expensive, and deeply demoralizing experience, and it will continue to be as long as the consequences of intentionally violating tenants' rights pale in comparison to the profit generated. If you are looking for one part of an otherwise painful process to be straightforward and reasonably priced, I highly recommend reaching out to Otter Moving & Storage. Otter was able to provide every service we were looking for in-house and they gave us the best and most transparent quote of the dozen or so moving companies we spoke with. They were patient and kind with adjusting their quote as our inventory evolved, and were understanding, kind, and reasonable when we encountered a setback. Every interaction was quick, efficient, and professional. Unlike just about everyone we dealt with in finding a new place and planning our move, they are decent human beings who genuinely want to make a difficult and confusing process easier for their clients. Fantastic moving company that was on time and professional! They had a crew of 4 or 5 people helping with the move so it was fairly quick! The move to the new place was also very quick with them unloading everything in less than an hour. Went with Otter since they had the best price compared to all the other well known companies. The price quote Otter provided was very straightforward with no hidden fees. It's based on distance and the volume of your move; there are no hourly fees. I put down a $50 deposit to secure my moving date and time, and they contacted me by phone and email the day before to complete the rest of the payment as well as confirm all details of the move. Communication with Otter was extremely easy and smooth; they are very responsive and informative if you have any questions leading up to the day of the move. On the morning of my move, my movers (Izzy and his team) texted me 30 minutes before they arrived to let me know their ETA. They were very punctual and arrived when they said they would. I was very happy with Izzy and his team; they were friendly, efficient, and made the move very easy for me. It was a rainy day and they made sure to put down a cloth in the doorway to keep the floors dry which I appreciate. My mattress, desk, and desk chair were carefully wrapped before they moved it out. They also disassembled my bed frame and re-assembled it in the new place. Overall, I would highly recommend Otter for your move! They are excellent!

The movers themselves were efficient, courteous, and offered to help move things that they weren't required to do. Resounding 5 stars!! My Otter guys moved me from LIC, NY to North Bergen NJ. It was literally all finished in a little over 2 hrs! They did not charge me extra prior but the second the movers showed up they told me they were going to charge an extra $200 for it. I was able to get in touch with the office and they acknowledged that they missed this and provided the service to me for free. I give them credit for handling this exceptionally. Additionally, when booking, the company seems to suggest that wardrobe boxes are included but I was charged for them. They also charged a hefty "special handling" fee for a wardrobe but it was not handled any differently from the rest of my furniture - not disassembled, but simply wrapped and carried. Other companies did not charge me extra for this when I compared quotes. I feel like the company needs to be more transparent about the exact pricing because the reason I chose them was that I thought they were. Note that they do charge for every single box and item you have by the cubic foot, though they are upfront about it! They did include things that other companies don't though - like TV box, mirror box, etc. - this is impressive. Overall, they were professional, swift, and got the job done with no hassle at moderate pricing compared to other companies. I tipped all 3 of my movers $100 each.

The quote they gave me was a very fair price but I decided to go with a different company because they quoted me a slightly cheaper price and offered me a nursing discount (I work as a nurse). However, I got a follow up call from Peter later that evening and he offered to lower my quote price to even less than what I was offered at the other company (which I thought was a complete steal already). Peter worked around a few things to get me the discounted price and if I hadn't already sent in my deposit/payment and completed the paperwork with the other company, I would have gone with Otter instead. All to say that the service seemed great and they really do work with you to try to get you a fair price. I would recommend and would definitely consider for my next move!

I had a great experience with Otter. The move was fast and efficient. The team on truck 06 was able to move all my furniture up 3 flights of a very difficult and narrow staircase. All of my fragile items were safely moved with no breakage. It was affordable compared to competitor moving companies. I will definitely use otter for all of my future moves.

The first time using a moving company while not being charged more after the move! Otter truly did a great job estimating all the moving costs by providing me with an exact quote!
